Description

Our firm has been providing quality wealth management, tax, and accounting services to clients for decades.  We are seeking a professional with a minimum of five years of tax preparation experience.  If you have tax experience and desire to learn about financial services, we would love the opportunity to speak with you.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Responsible for tax interviews, preparation, review, and tax planning engagements.
  • Assist with QuickBooks clean-up for business entities and sole proprietorships.
  • Conduct tax research and communicate results internally and externally.
  • Represent clients with IRS, State or local tax compliance issues. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service. 
  • Cultivate new client relationships through referrals and networking.
  • Promote the firm’s tax and wealth enhancement planning services.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (with necessary unit requirements for CPA exam).
  • A licensed CPA preferred (or on track to obtain CPA license).
  • A minimum of 3 years in public accounting-with a tax focus.
  • Must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level.
  • Experience with individual, fiduciary, S corporation, and partnership tax returns. 
  • Solid technical knowledge and research skills.
  • Desire to provide tax and financial advice holistically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Detail oriented and produce high-quality work.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of accounting software systems.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
  • Desire to always be learning and contributing.
  • Salary is commensurate with experience.

Description

Our firm is looking for an experienced Tax Manager to oversee our tax department. The ideal candidate will have supervisory level experience with tax preparation and planning for individual, fiduciary, corporate and partnership tax returns, and experience in supervising staff. If you have prior experience in these areas, we would love the opportunity to speak with you regarding this fantastic opportunity.

Responsibilities & Activities

  • Responsible for managing the tax reporting, tax planning, and compliance function.
  • Manage employees, assign work and develop the tax department team.
  • Must be familiar with regulations at the federal, state and local level. 
  • Represent clients with IRS, State or other audits. 
  • Review completed tax forms and provide recommendations to junior members of our team when needed. 
  • Develops processes and procedures. 
  • Research and resolve tax and accounting issues affecting our firm. 
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients through ongoing communication and exceptional service. 
  • Look for wealth management service opportunities and refer to wealth advisor.
  • Plan and achieve revenue growth goals for the tax department.
  • Assist with execution of the strategic vision/goals of the firm. 
  • Demonstrate leadership abilities.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • A licensed CPA.
  • A minimum of 5 years in public accounting-with a tax focus.

Seasonal Tax Preparer

Description

Our firm has been providing quality wealth management, tax, and accounting services to clients for decades.  We are currently seeking a seasonal tax preparer to work at least part-time with potential for 40+ hours per week during the peak tax season period of late February through early April.  The position would start in January for training purposes and end on April 15.  This could be a great fit for a CPA interested in working only part of the year, or a parent who would like the summer and holidays off with their family.  If you have tax experience and would like to work seasonally, we would love the opportunity to speak with you.
